Meet Katy

 

I’m Katy Randall, a certified nutrition, lifestyle, and mental wellness coach with a deep passion for helping others take back control of their health, energy, and confidence.

My journey into wellness coaching didn’t start in a textbook—it started in a doctor’s office, where I was told “everything looks normal.” For three long years, I went from doctor to doctor, struggling just to breathe. I was given labels like asthma and depression. I was prescribed medications that didn’t help. Deep down, I knew there was something more.

I kept pushing. I was eventually sent to a pulmonologist, then to an ENT. After countless allergy tests, sensitivity scans, and breathing assessments, all coming back “normal”, I still wasn’t getting answers. One day, after yet another visit, I told the physician assistant that I wasn’t leaving without a specific test I had done years before. She was hesitant, but I insisted.

That test changed everything.

The doctor returned with the results and said, “Well, we know what’s going on.” I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Subglottic Stenosis, a rare condition where scar tissue causes narrowing of the airway. Finally, after years of being dismissed, I had a name for what I was experiencing.

Meet todd

 

As an athlete, Todd had issues from constantly changing nutritional fads.  From carb-loading, low-fat, and low-sodium diets were constant pressures from coaches and parents.  Instead of feeling energized, he often felt sluggish and heavy (in soccer matches as well as in cross country and track races).  Furthermore being pushed to avoid fluids and hydration as a weakness, this led to poor hydration habits and being hospitalized on several occasions from heat stroke.

 

As a current 20-plus-year soccer trainer and coach, he sees fads being a big issue among athletes, especially females.  Fads for staying thin, food deprivation, avoiding protein, lack of hydration, etc. have left these athletes prone to injuries, lacking energy, fatigue quickly, and suffer heat stress issues.

 

Being introduced to ‘blood sugar balance’ was life-changing for Todd.  In addition to focused balanced and clean eating, he saw how mindset played a crucial role in overcoming bad habits.  Todd now had greater endurance, faster recovery, and feeling energized even playing and coaching against athletes 20-30 years younger than himself.  Seeing how this helped him he wanted to make a difference for those teenage female athletes he coaches.
